Okoya Drums Support for Governor Sanwoolu

The Chairman of Ebunlobinrin Foundation Incorporated, Okoya Michael said “the people of Lagos State appreciate  Governor Babajide Sanwoolu’s efforts in driving the transformation of Lagos for the wellbeing of all residents”. This was disclosed at the just concluded Africa Signal News Group 2023 Social Investments Validation Workshop.

Africa Signal reports that among the 18 States and the FCT being tracked under its 2019 – 2024 Capacity Development MELF (Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Framework) Initiative, data shows that Lagos has the best overall year-on-year performance. Specifically, Lagos State has consistently maintained number 1 position in the last 3 years as the State, offering highest level of equal and most sustainable opportunities for women and young people across the informal sectors.

Speaking on this data, Okoya highlighted the success of Youth Entrepreneurship Innovative Investments Scheme recently launched in Lagos by Ebunlobinrin Foundation. He explained that financing partners have more confidence in beneficiaries who have attended any State Government Skills Acquisition Center. Babajide Sanwoolu’s Administration has significantly invested and elevated these centers to best-in-class world standards.

Speaking further on the political economy implication, he identified the stability, infrastructure, innovations and value chain linkages Babajide Sanwoolu has delivered for these skills acquisition centers, as necessary ingredients for progress and empowerment of the people of Lagos. He also hoped Lagosians will be wise enough to support Sanwoolu by re-electing him as Governor in the next round of elections.

Ebunlobinrin Foundation is one of Nigeria’s most prolific grassroot development and mobilization organisation with over 500,000 registered members organised as cooperative clusters across Lagos. Its operations cut across the entire Southwest with wide-impact lead programmes currently running in Lagos, Ogun and Oyo States.
